XU Gets Nod in in Princeton Review 2020 Best Colleges Guide
New Orleans LA – Xavier University of Louisiana has once again been singled out as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education by The Princeton Review in the 2020 edition of its annual edition of "The Best 385 Colleges”.
In its profile on Xavier the guide praises the university for its academics, faculty, close-knit student population, and for providing undergraduates with “a myriad of great opportunities for everything from study abroad to professional development and career preparation”.
In all six Louisiana colleges made the 2020 list: Xavier, LSU, Tulane University, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Loyola University, and the University of New Orleans.
A New York-based company, The Princeton Review is a leading tutoring, test prep, and college admission services company. It showcases only about 15 percent of the 2,500 four-year colleges in the United States in its annual guide. Princeton Review's annual rankings are based on online surveys that ask college students nationwide to rate their schools in dozens of categories.
"We picked the 385 'best' colleges for our book primarily for their outstanding academics; we highly recommend each one," said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review's Editor-in-Chief and the book's lead author. “We base our selections primarily on data we obtain in our annual institutional data surveys. We also take into account input we get from our staff, our 24-member National College Counselor Advisory Board, our personal visits to schools, and the wide range of feedback we get from our surveys of students attending these schools.”
The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in any order.
